Master Frank Fu, Fork, In Reverie + Guests (dress-up party)

Big Fan welcomes Master Frank Fu, Fork, Earthscraper and In Reverie on Saturday 8 August for a massive night of heavy music, wild creativity and unforgettable live performances. Expect crushing riffs, big energy and a crowd that comes together for the music, with one more band still waiting to be revealed.

Presented by ACT UP Entertainment, this all-ages event is built for anyone who loves loud guitars, creativity and live music that feels like an experience rather than just a show.

The music will be loud, but the outfits might be louder.

This is a full dress-up party.... come as your wildest self. Samurai, fairy, robot, biker, fantasy warrior, creature from another dimension, or something nobody is prepared for. The only rule: make it memorable.

Dressing up is encouraged, but not required. Whether you arrive in full costume or just ready to experience the chaos, you’re part of the spectacle.

Leading the charge are Master Frank Fu with their unmistakable “Kung Fu Metal” sound... a collision of Eastern traditional instruments, Western distortion, martial-arts-inspired theatrics and bilingual vocals. Their live show blends crushing riffs, cinematic atmosphere and cultural influences into something unlike anything else on the Auckland heavy music landscape. Featuring members also connected to House of Ousey and Stormforge, this is a performance you don’t want to miss.

Waipu’s Fork bring a different kind of firepower. The trio, siblings Kacie and Phoebe Cookson with bassist Nerissa Barton, have been making serious waves, with Smokefreerockquest wins, Hammerfest appearances and opening slots for Push Push already under their belts, to name a few achievements. Their sets are loud, sharp and fearless, bringing the confidence and energy of a band far beyond their years.

Earthscraper add another layer of intensity to the lineup with their theatrical blend of progressive metal, metalcore and power metal. Chunky riffs, soaring choruses and intricate, time-bending rhythms combine to create a live show that's as dynamic as it is heavy. If you're into technical musicianship, massive hooks and high-energy performances, Earthscraper are a band you won't want to miss.  

In Reverie round out the lineup with fresh heavy music energy straight from Auckland’s grassroots scene. Their powerful live sound, huge riffs and explosive performances represent the next generation of local heavy bands pushing the scene forward.

This is an all-ages, licensed event, with alcohol service available only to guests aged 18 and over. Valid ID is required for alcohol purchases.
