Dreamstate Sessions EP Release

Genre-bending, alt-rock band Somniium releases their debut EP 'Dreamstate Sessions' on Friday the 25th of September 2026; hosting a release gig at Geihinkan Bar and supported by grunge band Melon Heart.

'Dreamstate Sessions' consists of 7 songs that sonically experiment with progressive rock, metal, RnB, pop, shoegaze and grunge-gaze.
Lyrically, each song journeys through introspective themes such as the struggles with self-esteem (Flowers), self-progression (Wait Faster), love and friendship (Apostasy), religion and familial expectations (In Your Image), coming to terms with reality through adulthood (Force), thoughts of parenthood (Iris) and, the freedom felt through self-expression and music (Dreamstate Sessions).

This EP is a vulnerable but passionate step for Somniium that aims to open an honest conversation between them and their audience about these topics and/or give listeners the comfort of being seen/recognised.

Melon Heart shared their latest Melon-art earlier this year with their debut EP 'Bugs'.
S p a c e y, grungy and fuzz lovin' listeners will surely find a favourite song to head-bang to on the highway through the galaxy with hard-hitting bass and drums, soaring vocals and hypnotizing guitar.
