The Undercurrent presents 168 quintet ft. Modi Shemi (TANZ) & Jack “Bazza” Harris (AUS)!

The debut of a new compositional series. This one time show will showcase new composition through the rhythmic guidance of Modi Shemi.

Pōneke residents and acclaimed performers and composers: Ateo Buhne (A NEW DAY), Theo Thompson (Mantle), and Miro Holland, are joined by master percussionist Mohammad Ummi Shemi hailing from Tanzania (Star Time) and returning Pōneke heavyweight Jack Harris.

Each with their own renowned musical works, they come together to present a new sound. Mixing east African rhythm with their unique jazz interpretations. The returning Jack Harris grew up with most of the crew, bringing a new attitude to a well understood instrumentation.
