Coast Arcade - BACK2SCHOOL

After a year packed with some of their biggest live shows to date, Auckland indie-rock band Coast Arcade are putting on a special headline show exclusively for fans aged 18 and under.

The band have spent much of 2026 playing shows across New Zealand and Australia, but with most of them restricted to R18 audiences, a lot of their younger fans haven’t been able to come along.

So, they’re doing something about it.

On Friday 23 October, Coast Arcade will take over BIGFAN in Auckland for a strictly 18-and-under headline show, joined by some of their favourite local all-ages bands.


Having formed while they were still at high school themselves, Coast Arcade know first-hand how important accessible all-ages gigs are for young music fans and emerging musicians.

“We talk a lot about supporting all-ages music, so we wanted to make sure we’re actually practising what we preach. We’re putting on a proper Coast Arcade headline show for our younger fans, with some of our favourite local all-ages bands alongside us.”

With BIG FAN’s limited capacity, it’ll also be a rare chance to catch Coast Arcade in a much smaller room, alongside some of the young local bands they’re excited about right now.

And for anyone over 18 feeling left out, Coast Arcade have a solution: the band will be playing Dougfest the following night, Saturday 24 October.
