About the artist:

California-raised, Moeraki-based singer-songwriter Julian Temple fronts the acclaimed Julian Temple Band, a six-piece outfit celebrated for their distinct blend of folk-noir, blues, jazz and psych-rock. Emerging in 2004 following post-graduate studies at the University of Otago under Graeme Downes of the Verlaines, Temple has spent over two decades establishing himself as one of New Zealand's premier musical journeymen. Known for his husky vocals and idiosyncratic songwriting, he has independently released seven studio albums, the latest being Tunnels which features a special guest appearance by NZ music icon Don McGlashan. A true troubadour, Temple has engineered an international footprint, headlining extensive tours across New Zealand, Australia, Mexico and the United States, charted in the NZ Top 10 multiple times and twice been a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition judged by the likes of Tom Waits and Frank Black of the Pixies.
