Braille Records Presents: The Bung Notes

Including members of the four album strong Thrashing Marlin, The Bung Notes occupy a territory of music reserved for the truly brave and surprising. Their upbeat and growling music has been described as ‘Voodoo R&B’; a fitting label for such a mesmerising and muscular band.

A rag-tag collection of jazz legends, the band includes Ant Donaldson (drums), Steve Roche (guitar), David Donaldson (bass), Aiko Satu (trombone) and Australian based musicians Neill Duncan (sax), and Martin Elepans (guitar).

This is the closest we will ever come to knowing what would happen if Muddy Waters and John Coltrane played jazz instrumental versions of Tom Waits songs.
