Blackbird Ensemble are back, in full force for one night only at the Crystal palace theatre. The 25 piece orchestra have reunited to raise funds for the Ensemble’s newest production in progress “The Afterlife”, due for premiere early 2017. The gig will feature hits from past productions “The Night Sky,” “By the Sea”, “The Wilderness”, “The Duino Elegies,” and “Dreams.” Vocal stars Jessie Cassin (Sola Rosa, The Dedwoods) Mikey Brown (Outside In) and Taite prize nominee Alex Taylor (Bellfrog) will sing covers by artists as diverse as Radiohead, Nick Cave, Bat for Lashes, Björk, Fleet Foxes, Feist and Bowie.

“We’ve always been self supporting, but as we’ve grown, our dreams grow bigger too, and our productions cost substantially more. We’re doing a crowd funding campaign through BOOSTED, ending with the Crystal Palace gig.
