THE REVEREND HORTON HEAT

to bring ROCK-A-BILLY BLAST to NEW ZEALAND in OCTOBER

Tuesday 4th Oct Christchurch @ Churchchills
Wednesday 5th Oct Wellington @ Bodega
Thursday 6th Oct Auckland @ The Tuning Fork

The unholy high priest of psychobilly, The Reverend Horton Heat makes his first visit to New Zealand for a series of high octane shows this October.

Loved and adored by a legion of worldwide fans, The Reverend Horton Heat has blazed a scorching trail across the decades with his hard-livin’, Hillbilly anthems. In a modern world obsessed with the latest online sensation, The Reverend and his killer band are amongst the last true keepers of the rock and roll flame, seriously ferocious, giving no quarter on stage, as their reputation duly attests. True rock ‘n’ roll is safe in the hands of one of its finest practitioners!

The rockabilly legends bring their white-hot rock & roll to New Zealand for the first time in October. Very few artists deliver a more blistering statement onstage than the mighty REVEREND HORTON HEAT.

The Texas trio recently released an animated video for Hardscrabble Woman the flip-side of their Record Store Day 7 inch, which includes the previously unreleased “Lying To Myself.”

The Reverend's real name is Jim Heath and he was born in 1959. Taking his stage name from a Go Reverend! quip at an early show while performing Folsom Prison Blues and a nod to country and western legend Johnny Horton, the Reverend Horton Heat has been performing since 1985. Joined by stand up bass player Jimbo Wallace in 1989 the band has long time traps man Scott Chirulla on drums to complete the rock-a-billy trio.

The New Zealand tour is brought to you by Blind Tiger Touring.
