‘Mind Games’ is a festival that will bring together many of Auckland’s finest local, independent bands and artists to raise funds for The Mental Health Foundation and increase awareness about mental health in New Zealand, with a particular focus on the mental wellbeing of the artistic and musical communities.

On Friday the 9th of June, the ‘Mind Games’ festival will be taking place across both venues at Whammy Bar on Karangahape Rd to bring together some of the most interesting and eclectic musicians in Auckland to raise awareness around mental health in New Zealand and the support that can be offered within the music and creative community.

All profits raised by the event will be donated directly to The Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand.

The Lineup:

The ‘Mind Games’ lineup will include the likes of Ghost Wave who combine the Flying Nun jangle with a dubby psychadelic groove reminiscent of 90s Manchester, genre-bending electronic act SoccerPractise who perform in both English and Te Reo, and ethereal dream-pop duo Purple Pilgrims fresh off a recent performance at Laneway. Also on the bill are Heavy, Siobhan Leilani, Couchmaster, Peach Milk, Hugo Jay and more to be announced soon.

All profits from the festival will be donated to the New Zealand Mental Health Foundation. Health Events & Fundraiser Coordinator, Keshlar Inglis says, “The Mental Health Foundation would like to thank everyone involved in the music fundraiser “Mind Games”, we’re always grateful for the support we get.”

“The money raised from this even will help The Mental Health Foundation create a society where all people can enjoy positive mental health and wellbeing.”
