George and Queen Second Album
George and Queen are set to release their second album The Wind is Up in September this year, after the 2007 success of their debut album City.
The husband and wife duo, Immi Paterson and Neil Newton, are now joined by drummer Richard Pharaoh and bassist Panduka Samarasinghe. In the past year they have been touring NZ regularly and have released several singles, including ‘Didn’t Mean it that Way’, which spend eight weeks on Kiwi FM top 10, and two weeks at #1. Their newest single ‘Lemonade’ retains their trademark catchy melodies, whilst adding the 70s-pop/rock sound that the band now delivers.
The album release date is September 22.
The Auckland release show is September 27th at the Whammy Bar.
Christchurch Oct 3rd - Dunedin Oct 4th - Wellington Oct 18th.
