Onanon release album Home Baking

Monday 24th November, 2008 12:00PM

I Am Evil Records, is proud to announce the release of Onanon's second full length record, home baking...

Full Press release:

With a huge release show on Friday night, the 21st of November, at backstage in their hometown of Dunedin, Onanon have now officially launched their new album on an unsuspecting public...

In association with the bands own madfishwish label, and incorporating a very special vinyl release on monkey killer records, with it's unassuming and beautiful CD cover artwork painted by the very talented carol petrie, which would not look out of place in an alison holst cookbook, this record is going to sneak up on you and bite you in the jugular as the first chords of the dark and pop-freak-tastic opening track 'i don't know what's come over me' chime into life...

by the end of the 3rd track 'seacliff' and the insane guitar assault that the end of that song brings with it, you will know never again to judge a CD by it's cover... this is an album that keeps coming at you with bursts of ferocity and brilliance and enough guitar mayhem to prove that this band are one of the best guitar bands in the country (or maybe i'll just say universe) at the moment with some of the most insanely catchy tunes about death and insanity and global warming (check out 'nice planet') that you are likely to hear anywhere this year, or any year for that matter...

you can listen to the whole album then buy it now on the i am evil records website, download it on itunes and spin it on vinyl (with amazing artwork this time by glen ross, singer and guitar player from onanon) from the monkey killer records website...

not far away is a new music video from the album but until then go to itunes and do a search for 'i am evil records' and download some great onanon music videos from the i am evil records podcast... also on itunes 'hang on i'm still mutating' the first onanon record, and their two ep's 'quarterpack' and 'sneepy'...
