Simon & Garfunkel Announce Second Show

Simon & Garfunkel have added a second show to their NZ visit this June. The second show will be held at Vector Arena in Auckland on Sunday 14th June.

There has been no mention of the controversial Visa Entertainment allocation but those who missed out last time should have a better chance of getting tickets this time around.

The down-under tour of Simon & Garfunkel just got bigger with the announcement of a second concert for New Zealand. Tickets for the first show at Auckland's Vector Arena were exhausted within hours of going on sale one month ago.

The second show for New Zealand will take place at Vector Arena on Sunday 14 June, tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster at 9am, Tuesday 19 May.

"We're the first and only territory in the world that Simon and Garfunkel have confirmed concerts for in 2009," said Michael Chugg.

"It's been 25 years since they've been here and to confirm a second for Auckland is testament to the impact of their music across generations, they are true legends."

Concert-goers will bear witness to the genius and artistry that created songs of a generation including The Sound of Silence, Bridge Over Troubled Water, The Boxer, Mrs. Robinson, Homeward Bound, Scarborough Fair/Canticle, I Am a Rock, A Hazy Shade of Winter, America and At the Zoo to name just a few.

Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel last toured Australia and New Zealand in 1983 with their Summer Evening Tour. Their "Old Friends In Concert" tour commences in Auckland in just four weeks.
