Supergroup Alert - Josh Homme, John Paul Jones and Dave Grohl form band

The super-group to end all super-groups? Perhaps so as two of the heavyweights in hard rock Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age, Kyuss), Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) join with Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones to form an as yet unnamed band.

The trio are presently in Los Angeles, recording their debut album, and although the project has been simmering for years, this week's confirmation comes from Brody Dalle, Homme's wide who leaked the news during an interview with the website Antiquiet; Dalle is Homme's wife.

"I'm not at liberty to talk about it," she said, "but I think it's pretty fucking amazing ... Just beats and sounds like you've never heard before."
