Guns N Roses Sued For Plagiarism
Big news in the musicsphere this week has been the lawsuit filed against Guns 'N Roses for ripping off German electro composer Ulrich Schnauss.
Two labels, Independiente and the American arm of Domino, are sueing GnR and their label for $1 Million for the unauthorised use of two Shnauss tracks in the ambient intro to Riad 'N the Bedouins off GnR's Chinese Democracy, released last year after a decade of labour.
GnR and co. are of course disputing the claim of doing anything illegal but it's not entirely clear whether they are refuting the use of the tracks or merely the use of them illegally - time will tell but in the mean time - have a listen for yourself and tell us what you think.
