Record Store Day 2010

This Saturday 17th April is Record Store Day, an annual event where independent record stores the world over get to celebrate themselves and all that they stand for. Record stores country wide will be participating so get along and show your support and reap the rewards.

Here's a few going ons of particular interest:

The High Seas are celebrating Record Store Day 2010 with a BBQ, specials and best of all an awesome line-up of in store performances, including: Golden Axe, The Broken Heart Breakers, Ghost Wave, Mr. Slack Jaw, Jordan O'Jordan and a rare solo acoustic performance by Stefan Neville.

Real Groovy Auckland will have specials and giveaways plus special guest DJs through out the day including Flying Nun founder Roger Sheppard, Ladyhawke, Nick D, Roger Perry, Recloose, Charlotte Ryan and more. They're also putting on a gig at the Kings Arms at night that you can get into for free if you head along to RG during the day and pick up a ticket, playing will be Drab Doo-Riffs, Artisan Guns, Computers Want Me Dead and more.
