10 years in NZ Music Month continues to kick the behinds of New Zealanders to recognise what they have brewing at their doorstep.

Without the dedication of the NZ Music Commission and the local music industry as a whole getting involved NZ Music might be a very different beast to look at.

Here's some goodies that are on the cards this month

  • Nick Bollinger talks great NZ records with special guest Dave Dobbyn - Wellington - Mighty Mighty @ 6pm
  • Bang Bang Eche and The Transistors - Auckland - Union Fish Co., Britomart @ 6pm
  • Kids Of 88 - Queenstown - Dux de Lux @ 8pm
  • The Jordan Luck Band - Kaitaia - Twin Peaks @ 8pm
  • Fractured, Just One Fix & Darklight Corporation - Palmerston North - The Royal @ 9pm
  • And.. All over Aotearoa - One Day… 10 gigs - For the tenth gig let’s have ten more!

grabaseat presents opshop, on their own plane for the day, and setting off on a country-wide journey to play ten shows all over the place. Be at Christchurch Airport at 6:00am tomorrow to grab a seat – the very last two seats! – on the plane.

Christchurch – Timaru – Hokitika – over Mt Cook - Nelson – Wanagnui – Hastings – Gisborne – Hamilton – Butterfly Creek in Auckland
