Win Tickets To See Mirah This Week
Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn has taken jaunts as a child star, participation in anti-nuclear peace rallies and a singing career that began at four years old and distilled it into her current incarnation: Mirah, a charming folk-pop singer who, refreshingly, has something significant to say.
She released her debut album, Advisary Committee, in 2001 and has spent the proceeding decade solidifying her seminal place within the music scene in Portland, Oregon, by working on collaborative projects involving forced seclusion (Songs from the Black Mountain Music Project), anti-war concept albums (To All we Stretch the Open Arm), and 12-song recordings paying homage to the French scientist and poet Jean Henri Fabre. She released a solo album (a)spera in 2009 and is playing Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin this week, bringing her fiercely unique and intellectual performance with her.
The first person to email tix at undertheradar.co.nz with the city they want to see her in will win a double pass.
