Wellington musician Sean O'Brien is about to release his debut full length album under most recent musical moniker Joe Blossom, called Nocturnes. O'Brien has been making independent music in Wellington for upwards of a decade, contributing to Flying Nun's God Save The Clean tribute album, supporting acts such as The 3D's, So So Modern, Wing, David Kilgour, Die! Die! Die!, Cut Off Your Hands, Superette and The Chills and has performed out the Big Day Out and four out of five Camp A Low Hums. Nocturnes is O'Brien's journey from Friday night into the early hours of the morning and was recorded by James Goldsmith at Te Horo Bach, and a garage on Marjoribanks Street in Wellington, with three early tracks laid down by Lee Prebble at Surgery Studios.

The album is out this Friday 27th May, and Joe Blossom will be playing at San Francisco Bathhouse this Thursday, 26th May, with Full Fucking Moon and Gold Medal Famous.
