RIP Gil Scott-Heron

Sads news surfaced over the weekend of the passing of singer-songwriter and poet Gil Scott-Heron. The 62 year old passed away at St Luke's Hospital in NY on Friday afternoon (27th May) after returning from a tour in Europe.
Lucky for us, Heron returned from a lengthy hiatus from the music scene with an incredible album at the start of last year titled I'm New Here a remix of which done by Jamie xx was released this year title We're New Here. Both allowed a new generation of fans, including us, to engage with him and experience his brilliance. R.I.P.
