Wunderbar Sustains Further Damage, Shows Cancelled

Wunderbar Sustains Further Damage, Shows Cancelled

Monday 20th June, 2011 12:53PM

The latest spate of aftershocks in Christchurch has further damaged seminal live venue, Wunderbar.

The Tiny Ruins album release show, scheduled for this Sunday 26th June, has been cancelled.

The Reverend Beatman and Delaney Davidson show, scheduled for July 9th has been cancelled.

Apparently it is the staircase at this iconic location that is most affected, and the Wunderbar Facebook has this to say about the future: "Very sad to announce for the third time we have been wounded by the forces of nature, so it looks like we will be getting the builders back in. Mother Nature just seems to hate us so. Love to all".

Ticket holders for the Tiny Ruins and Reverend Beatman and Delaney Davidson shows will be refunded direct from UnderTheRadar on Monday 27th June.

At present neither show has been rescheduled, but Tiny Ruins are seeking a new venue. Any updates will be posted on the Tiny Ruins website, here.

We will continue to update you regarding the fate of shows and the Wunderbar itself as information comes to pass.
