Big Day Out 2012 Rumours
UPDATE: Sept 29th
It's here folks, the day we find out the first thirteen acts gracing the BDO stages next year - they will be unveiled slowly over an hour starting from 11pm (NZ time).
The headliners won't be announced till tomorrow morning but BDO have been dropping hints as to who it WON'T be cancelling out many of the major rumours such as Pearl Jam and Prince (no headliners start with P) and Radiohead and Red Hot Chilli Peppers (no headliners start with R) - they could be playing still of course but won't be headling.
We're liking the look of Loutallica (the new Lou Reed and Metallica colab) but we'll soon see - keep your guesses coming.
UPDATE: Sept 27th
BDO have just revealed that they will be announcing most of the line up the evening of Sep 29th and then the following morning they will announce THREE of headliners and a "special treat".
Three + headliners - how excessive.
Stay tuned to UTR - we'll have all juicy details for you as they are unveiled.
UPDATE: Sep 26th
BDO organisers remain tight lipped about next years line-up but the announcement can't be far off now. Here's some more rumours for you in the meantime...
Kasabian have apparently confirmed they are playing in an interview with Australian street press Rip It Up in Australia, saying they are "second behind the headliners".
The Pearl Jam rumour remains strong.
There are hopes for Radiohead on the back of their announcement that they are planning to tour in 2012, Jan could be a bit optimistic though.
Other recurring names are Florence and the Machine, My Chemical Romance, The Shins, System of The Down and The Killers.
