The accompanying EP to The National's doco, "A Skin, A Night", it’s a collection of new songs, demos and live tracks.
It’s a beautiful sounding EP, perfect for Sunday avos, or morning afters. It ambles along with a soft pace, and a calm feel.
This Brooklyn Based band (shit, how come all Brooklyn bands sound sooo different?) has a sound a little like Bruce Springsteen (and I mean this in the best possible way). The baritone voice of singer Matt Berninger has always been the bands defining aspect, and he’s as sharp and melancholy as ever.
A definite must own.
