The Ting Tings are a group that seems to have grabbed the worlds attention with their light, fun, but also direct attitude.
It’s an album with hits and misses but the ones that connect like That’s Not My Name, and Great DJ, have a kind of instant appeal through a swaggering repetitive approach.
It's really the vocals which defines this group and her attitude to the songs. Without this it could be any old backing track but she has a way of stamping her feet that’s hard to deny.
