HANZEL und GRETYL
Breeding Ministry's industrial shitstorm with White Zombie's hard rock stomp New York's Hanzel und Gretyl make for an intriguing and ultimately kick-ass prelude. Led by goggle-sporting maniac Kaiser Von Loopy (an early indication of their unrestrained lunacy) they simply demand attention, high-fiving the front rows while blasting out some of the catchiest yet hardest-hitting anthems around successfully pitting both sides of somebody else's crowd against each other in an impromptu screaming contest is quite a feat, but when you can do so on your first ever visit to the UK it's damn near incredible. -Ryan Bird/ Kerrang!

ALPINE FAULT
“While Nadia Vanek’s vocals are near perfect, the big surprise is Ant Royle (guitar and vocals), who has a great voice himself – plaintive without over emoting. Together they manage to wring every drop of pathos from the music. The guitar work is stunning – as complex as you’d expect from a prog-metal band, but with the violin there’s no sense of flashy gimmicks.” – Magpie / Tapping the Ether, Metal Radio – Canada.

'Iraena's Ashes' is a concept album inspired by the true story of the mysterious disappearance of New Zealander, Iraena Asher, and is now available from www.alpinefault.com
