It’s on with the S³ Pacific Music Awards
Get set to give some big ups and mad respect to the talented Pacific artists in New Zealand at the S³ Pacific Music Awards on May 29.
Now in their sixth year, the S³ Pacific Music Awards acknowledge the success of Pacific artists in New Zealand, celebrate and promote excellence in Pacific music and encourage young Pacific musicians to aim high.
The world class event is full of swagger and style, including live performances, making the event one of Manukau City’s biggest nights out.
In 2010 awards are presented in the following categories: Pacific Group, Gospel Album, Urban Artist, Female Artist, Male Artist and Pacific Song. The revered NZ Music Awards Tui is being presented for the Pacific Music Album and a new certificate is being given for Promotion of Pacific Language.
Four awards are also given for People’s Choice of Best Pacific Artist, Lifetime Achievement, the Phillip Fuemana Award for Most Promising Artist and the new Radio Airplay Award.
