Rodney Fisher goodshirt has been busy creating his first recorded solo works a project entitled The
Backyard.
The album, Songs From The Backyard, is a collection of nostalgic country folk songs. Written in
New Zealand, the album is full of an optimistic melancholy reflecting a unique take on love, life and
growing up. Songs From The Backyard was recorded in New Zealand by Goodshirt collaborators
Murray Fisher and Kerry Furlong, and produced by Breaks Co-op’s Andy Lovegrove.
The album also features contributions from a host of New Zealand musicians, including Marcus
