Black Boned Angel is the darkened metal project of Campbell Kneale. Taking its cues from the godalmighty thunder-sludge of Earth, the post-shoegaze shimmer of Jesu, and Maiden-esque twin 'guitarrorism', Black Boned Angel take the idea of 'the riff' into near religious territory with their burning brand of slow motion, ecstatic. wordless metal, refered to by none other than Terrorizer magazine as "the heaviest slab of recorded sound on the planet".
In spite of their live ritualistic assault with their expanded duo format being rapturously received throughout Europe and Australasia, Black Boned Angel remain more or less invisible in their home country and are in Auckland to play a rare New Zealand show on Dec 13th at the Whammy Bar. Expect to hear the voice of God on the night, and nothing else for days.
