Attention film connoisseurs! For your entertainment those musical madmen Dr. Colossus have prepared a special selection of the film scores of Danny Elfman.
This programme of cinematic madness will be performed in a one-off show on opening night of the Auckland Fringe 2009 at The Basement, in the appropriately spooky late-night slot of 11.00pm.
Laying aside their trademark “train-load of flaming camels crashing into a circus tent filled with knife throwers and surf guitars” sound, Dr. Colossus and guests will be performing a selection of works by crazed genius and film composer extraordinaire Danny Elfman, including music from the Tim Burton classics Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Tickets are available from www.the-edge.co.nz
