Alda Rezende, with the originality of her voice and delivery, will enchant connoisseurs of Brazilian rhythms and everyone interested in great music.
In her native Brazil Alda has performed alongside major artists such as Elza Soares, João Bosco and many others. Alda has found her home in New Zealand where she is a veteran of the jazz circuit, performing at events such as Auckland Arts festival, Christchurch Arts Festival, Adelaide Cabaret festival, Pura Vida - Melbourne Recital Centre and headlining Wellington International Jazz Festival.
Alda has, along the years, lead and participated in projects such as:
Live Brazil Festival, Latin Club, a unique vibe of Latin music performances, Tutakitaki, a musical project that celebrates culture collaboration and blends Maori and Brazilian music. OE:Brazil.
She is also a host for world music show Global Pulse on Wellington’s iconic Radio Active.
Alda will be joined by a first class team of musicians Henrique Morales, Juliana Antoniol & Lance Bentley it will be an evening of samba infused intricate rhythms of bossa nova.
Special guest: Brazilian acting legend and political activist José de Abreu.
