Gig Information

Aotearoa indie-pop artist Bridges is heading off on tour to celebrate the release of her debut EP TWENTY SOMETHING, which features the latest NZ On Air-supported single ‘Misfits’.

Having just kicked off the two date tour in Christchurch, Bridges will be performing with her captivating live four-piece band at Big Fan in Auckland, for an all ages show on Friday December 8.

Joining Bridges at Big Fan is rising indie artist Lily Williams, as well as experimental pop project Rewind Fields.

The tour is momentous for Christchurch-born, Auckland-based Bridges; taking in two cities that have shaped her as a person, musician and ultimately the music on the debut EP.

Written over the course of eight years, the EP is a sonic time capsule of a period in Bridges’ life which has been defined by growth, heartbreak, depression, friendship, and learning.

This show will see Bridges and her live band perform her string of singles ‘okay, alright’, ‘Gone’ and the NZ On Air-supported single ‘Pills’ and 'Misfits'; bringing the full EP to life.

The EP has been seen her featured on RNZ, Coup de Main, Tom Harper’s Locals Only Podcast, Billie Magazine, NZ Musician and more, with singles ‘Pills’ and ‘Misfits’ quickly gained traction. The video for ‘Pills’ was featured on MTV, and the track playlisted by Spotify’s ‘Fresh Finds Pop’, ‘The Local List Aotearoa’ and ‘Fresh Finds AU & NZ’, as well as Apple Music playlists ‘New Music Daily’, ‘Breaking Pop’ and ‘New In Pop’.

“Bridges…certainly knows what’s what in the current pop landscape ... ['Gone' is] reminiscent of early Lorde in its darkness…Bridges has spoken about trying to give every song of hers a good hook, and ideally many of them. So far, she’s sticking to her word.”
- NZ Herald

Bridges, who recently opened for Aussie breakthrough band Teenage Dads at Auckland’s Tuning Fork, is gearing up for shows packed with feeling, angst, pop tracks, emotion, and nostalgia.
