Tour Information
Legendary Swedish grindcore band NASUM head to our shores for the first - and only - time this August as part of a world tour to celebrate their 20th Anniversary and final farewell. This is it. Never to happen again. Don’t miss it.

Nasum terrorized the underground with their unique and unmistakable blend of brutal musical madness from their inception in 1992. With four full length albums, countless vinyl releases and MCDs, and a plethora of compilation appearances, Nasum were unstoppable and the undisputed kings of the grind scene until their untimely and tragic end in 2004 after vocalist Mieszko Talarczyk tragically passed away in Thailand during the Boxing Day tsunami.

After long deliberation and scrutiny, the band decided to reunite and do a handful of shows around the world in 2012 to celebrate their 20th anniversary and say a final goodbye to the fans and to Mieszko. No cheesy reunion, no new albums, no epitaph for Mieszko - just unruly celebrations. To handle vocal duties on the upcoming shows they have asked Keijo Niinimaa, vocalist in Finnish grind favorites Rotten Sound, to step in to the fray. The two bands have long been close friends and road allies, and while Keijos plagued screams wont replace Mieszko, they will more than do his legacy justice.

Joining Nasum for this one-off New Zealand show are leading New Zealand metal export ULCERATE. The Auckland quartets pitch black brand of imagination-bending death metal has seen them sign to Relapse Records and cultivate an ever-growing global following, and their appearance with Nasum will be their first New Zealand show following their upcoming North American tour. Rounding off the line-up are Melbourne-based Kiwi grindcore legends ODIUSEMBOWEL, whose billing with Nasum will mark their first show on home soil for over a year.
