The Beautiful Beast Project is a creative collaboration between indie-tronica musicians Taipei Teahouse, and film makers from Afghanistan. Christchurch based duo Taipei Teahouse a.k.a Billy Mills and Kerry Coulshed are heading north for a couple of fundraising gigs to raise money for a music video collaboration they are involved in with film makers and innovative creatives based in Afghanistan.
It's a unique project between the two countries helping to raise awareness around the importance of empowerment for women in Afghanistan as well as the importance of creativity in society. They are collaborating with local Hamilton musicians (Knot Shore, Nicky Keys Soundsystem & Black Throat Blues) and businesses in Auckland and Hamilton to help spread the word! It'll be a cool night of story telling and performance.
All proceeds go directly to The Beautiful Beast Project.
