Creative Sounds - The Stomach presents the first in a series of workshops for 2017.

Introduction to the Recording Studio
Presented by Nigel Mauchline | Sound Engineer, The Stomach

This workshop will be an overview of the recording industry with a focus on the recording studio.

Workshop begins at 6:00pm and concludes at approximately 8:00pm

- Content includes -

- The purpose of the recording studio
- Who can use a recording studio'
- When are you ready to use a recording studio'

- The basic equipment required to record in a studio environment
- Some of the ways recording sessions can be structured
- An overview of the jobs within the recording industry - including: engineering, management and promotion
- What musicians can do to best prepare for a recording session

Presented in an informal, fun, and friendly way for anyone who may have an interest in working in the recording industry or for musicians keen to explore the world of recording before entering into the studio.

The Stomach in an all ages - alcohol free - performance venue, recording studio, & rehearsal space funded by the Palmerston North City Council.
