Maple Syrup Share Easygoing Cover Of 'Wannabe' By Spice Girls
Wednesday 30th August, 2017 11:46AM
Wellington indie upstarts Maple Syrup have released a relaxed homage to the Spice Girls. The band ran the classic pop banger through their signature laid-back filter, embellishing it with extended drum rolls and topping it off with their idiosyncratic New Zealand accents. The band released a short-but-sentimental statement with the release on their Bandcamp: “Thanks mum for allowing me to grow up in a SPICE WORLD <3”. Check it out below…
Frontwoman Vera Ellen recently released her solo single 'Sadness Takes The Gold'. Check it out over here.
