OPN Unveils Ryuichi Sakamoto Rework of 'Last Known Image Of A Song'

Thursday 22nd November, 2018 1:18PM

US synth wizard Oneohtrix Point Never has enlisted Japanese electronic music pioneer Ryuichi Sakamoto to re-work his evocatively titled track 'Last Known Image Of A Song', from this year's time-travelling opus Age Of. Sparkling droplets of liquid sound co-mingle with alien synth swirls and IMAX quality booming bass, conjuring both tranquil sensations and eerie vibrations. The Yellow Magic Orchestra member's re-imagining will appear on OPN's Love In the Time Of Lexapro EP, out tomorrow including a contribution from (Sandy) Alex G, an unreleased track from Age Of, and an acoustic version of the title track to the new album. Stream 'Last Known Image Of A Song (Ryuichi Sakamoto)' here...

‘Love In the Time Of Lexapro’ EP is out Friday 23rd November via Warp / Border Music.
