North Shore Pony Club Return With 'Overload Mode' ft. Lunavela

Auckland dancefloor terrorists North Shore Pony Club (aka Matt Pony and Aaron Pony) are back with 'Overload Mode', a single that's been in the works for around a decade featuring vocals by Lunavela, aka Steve Mathieson of now-dormant local indie-pop group Collapsing Cities. 'Overload Mode' is the first of two songs co-penned by Mathieson featuring on North Shore Pony Club's magical new six song collection Abracadabra, which also features a collaborative track with evocatively named super city rap artist Randy Diamond. "Matt and I wrote this song ten years ago. It’s great that it’s finally coming out. When I finished the vocals and lyrics, he asked me to write them out, so I wrote them on a piece of paper and left them on the coffee table. His female flatmate found them and thought his other nameless male flatmate was confessing his undying love for her and had written them for her. She moved out a week later".
