French Concession Unveils Single / Video 'Peak'

In the new single from Ōtautahi / Hong Kong artist French Concession, the ethereal vocals are dropped for "non-binary" pitch-shifted harmonies, separating 'Peak' from the dream-pop of her last album The Garden Of Synthetic Sentiments. Ella Chau, the brains behind French Concession, has conjured up her very own high-density city for the 3D-rendered visuals, allowing us to be flies on the wall in luxury living spaces, soar above snaking roads, and narrowly miss 50ft women on the highway. The lyrics themselves tell a love-story, of a new romance taking off once free from the noise of big city living, "in the forest ground, silence nurtured feelings waiting to be found".
