Pōneke's Brooke Singer is making introverts' dreams come true with the latest gift from French For Rabbits' upcoming album The Overflow. Today's dream-pop drop 'The Outsider' is the third single from the LP, due out in full this November, following in the steps of the magical, whispered world of radio favourites 'Ouija Board' and 'The Overflow'. Singer wrote the new offering during a songwriting session in LA with Brooke Johnson and Marc Orrell, before bringing the song back home for extra contributions from French For Rabbits bandmate Ben Lemi (Dawn Diver), who can be heard providing the sweetest backing vocals at all the right moments. Although there's a sadness to 'The Outsider' in its gentle, cyclical piano and the lonely Singer ghost in the NZ On Air supported video, French For Rabbits describes the song as "an introvert’s anthem that finds joy in the act of being alone".

The visuals, co-directed by the unstoppable duo of Singer and Martin Sagadin, follows a ghost's journey from party to pastime, taking place in the gorgeous hidden spots of Ōtautahi suburbia. Celebrate your inner introvert with 'The Outsider', and see how many Christchurch music scene cameos you can spot in the clip below...

French for Rabbits' album 'The Overflow' is out Friday 12th November via AAA records, Reckless Yes (UK) and A Modest Proposal (Italy).
