Maxine Funke Shares Single / Video 'Room In The City'
One of Aotearoa's finest songwriters, Maxine Funke is releasing a collection of "non-album singles, tracks recorded for compilations, and new material" named Pieces Of Driftwood this October via Disciples Records, a sub-label of hugely influential UK imprint Warp Records. Just announced to be performing at Tāmaki Makaurau's The Others Way festival, Funke has shared a second single from her forthcoming record, the tranquil and unburdened 'Room In The City' along with impressionistic, washed-out analogue visuals shot and processed by Christopher Schmelz. Hit play on the sublimely succinct tune and first single 'South Dunedin' below (both songs previously unreleased), and catch an exceptionally rare super city appearance by Funke on 22nd October...
