Princess Chelsea and Jonathan Bree Unveil Lil Chief Records 20th Anniversary Single 'Destiny'

It's Lil Chief Records' birthday but you get the presents, as the Aotearoa independent imprint has shared a special 20th anniversary single entitled 'Destiny', created by masked co-founder Jonathan Bree and shining star Princess Chelsea. The regular collaborators duet over a cool as ice, solemn yet triumphant Italodisco / synth-pop backing, singing together "If you would just once believe / I could keep you happy / It's some kind of destiny / So just be here with me".

Spotlighting the absolute treasure trove of local tunes released by the Lil Chief Records roster since Bree and Scott Mannion (The Tokey Tones) kicked the whole thing off in 2002 (read Gary Steel's history of the label over at AudioCulture HERE), Bree has shared a playlist of songs from the past 20 years you can delve into below.
