Spotlight: Obey The Riff '22 Festival - Beastwars, Stälker, Demons Of Noon + More

Raising a glass to Aotearoa's thriving metal community with an all-killer Halloween extravaganza at Upper Hutt's Panhead Custom Ales, there's only four sleeps to go before Obey The Riff '22 regales our eardrums with the finest local riffage. Befitting tradition, this year's festival is headlined by Pōneke heavy music titans Beastwars, performing alongside speed / thrash maniacs Stälker (Napalm Records), plus Whanganui's Pull Down The Sun and Tāmaki Makaurau sludge doom crew Demons Of Noon, who unveiled their new anthem 'Sphere of Peace' late last week. Fresh additions to the bill are Mammuthus (whose lumbering 'Holy Goat' dropped in late September), DAHTM, Pieces of Molly (who released their new single 'Don't Shine A Light Into The Dark' earlier this month), and newcomers Pissbaby — featuring members of DARTZ, DEATHTRIPPA and Crying Club.

Showcasing an awesome selection of bands all day with thirst-quenching beverages readily at hand, there's also a limited supply of festival tickets that include a return bus from Wellington train station.
