Karl Sölve Steven Shares 'Tāmaki 5000' (Proteins Of Magic Remix)

Karl Sölve Steven paves the way for his All of Human Emotion on Microfiche (The Remixes) album with ‘Tāmaki 5000’, remixed through the musical wizardry of Proteins of Magic aka Kelly Sherrod. Having graced the stage at the Primavera Sound mega-fest in Spain last week, Proteins of Magic adds layers of upbeat synth, stylised harmonies and jolting textual effects, almost completely reimagining the original as an Androidss-y new wave punk anthem. A trailblazing figure in Aotearoa music, from his award-winning film compositions, to his iconic role as Supergroove frontman, and as co-founder of Queen Neptune and The Drab Doo-Riffs, Steven will soon be celebrating his remix album's launch with a stellar team of local electronic talent at Tāmaki Makaurau's The Wine Cellar and Whammy Backroom on 21st July.
