An Aotearoa independent music tradition that has spanned both virtual and irl realms during its storied history (not unlike Neo in The Matrix), Melted Ice Cream's Better Living Festival will soon be serving up a double scoop of sonic good times at Ōtautahi's darkroom and Space Academy. They've assembled a doozy of a lineup of local heroes and red hot out-of-towners, including Tāmaki Makaurau-based city slickers Wellness, Jim Nothing and deepState, Te Whanganui-a-Tara post-grunge-punks Horn (who just released their ace debut album), Blenheim heavy hitters Big Scout (recent supports for Sleaford Mods), Ōtepoti's Kilmog, and a carefully curated selection of Canterbury's finest guitar-slinging groups.
