The highlight of the music week has been without doubt the announcement that prog-rock legends Goblin will be performing their amazing soundtrack to classic horror flick Suspiria live in Auckland as part of the New Zealand International Film Festival in July. Other tour news of note was the addition of Dirty Three's Mick Harvey to Mono's upcoming New Zealand dates, locals Ghost Wave announced tour dates in support of their new album Ages and tickets for Camp A Low Hum 2014 are now on sale right here at UTR for the first time.

In new music news: Nine Inch Nails have released the first single from their new album Hesitation Marks out at the end of August, tUnEpyArDs' Merril Garbus has offered up a possible name for her new album - Sink O - while writing about her experiences in Haiti, 90s grungers Sebadoh have announced the release of their first album in nearly 15 years - titled Defend Yourself and Touch and Go have release a new Rodan album titled Fifteen Quiet Years which includes a selection of rarities and live recordings - it's currently streaming it via Pitchfork Advance.  Other streams of interest this week include Grayson Gilmour's new soundtrack for local film Shopping, new Hamilton duo Palaces debut EP Mesmer,  get to know new local talent with the Awesome Feeling 7 compilation, and ambient electro-pop artist W-H-I-T-E's new album is nice laid back listen.

Caught live this week, we have an intense performances from Savages who played two songs from their excellent debut album Silence Yourself on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon this week...
