Listen: Beck - Gimme

In recent times, Beck's output has been pretty schizophrenic. He released a sheet music album called Beck's Song Reader on McSweeney's, then he released singles 'Defriended' and 'I Won't Be Long', neither of which were part of a larger release, and now we have another non album-proper single, called 'Gimme'. The sound herein mirrors the randomness of Beck's recent release history; a series of naive, jumbled instruments led by a xylophone compliment his highly effected vocals throughout. The results are child-like and actually quite lovely, and considering the artwork that accompanies the song that was  probably Beck's intention. Have a listen below.
