Stream Xanadu's New Album '1999-2002'
Formed in 1999 by Tim Lewton, Luke Stemson and Bruce Wurr, Auckland outfit Xanadu was a musical force to behold on stage. Over the band's brief lifespan there was a few line-up changes (including Kane Goulter on bass and Steve Demeris on drums) and varying attempts at recording, but nothing seemed to capture the group's live energy. Eventually, due to various reasons, the group disbanded in 2003. Then in 2005, Ian "Blink" Jorgensen, got his hands on a CD-R of the band's demos and live recordings and was inspired to unleashed a self-titled album. Now, 10 years later, Xanadu has reunited and re-emerged with a full-length album, comprised of a dynamic mix of previously unreleased tracks along with some of that earlier released material. Simply titled 1999-2002, the record is available for purchase on limited edition vinyl and will be supported by a series of shows later in the month, as part of A Movement Tour.
