An exciting up and comer in the New Zealand music scene, Wellington three-piece Thought Creature are fast gaining a fan-base with their genre-defying style of guitar rock having notched up dozens of tours through out New Zealand since 2004.
Influences range from Joy Division and New Order to Sonic Youth and Fugazi as well as a range of contemporary New Zealand and international bands but their sound is unmistakably their own, bass-driven, psychedelic, techno surf rock. The music has been described in press reports as “sonically mesmerizing” and “well rounded, exciting and epic…”, with plenty of praise for their engaging live performances.
Members are, Will Rattray (gat/vox) Danny Brady (bass) Peter Copeland (acoustic and electric drums).
