Yippee! The time has finally come to celebrate the release of the Bri Louise Album.
Rogue & Vagabond on 24th of January.
Elly Mae and her band will be opening up before the Bri Louise Band takes the stage. The night will also feature some very special friends of ours, including Keira Batten-Copgan, Felix Hilton, Leji, Gala Baumfield, Meihana McGee, the Bri Louise Choir, and the Bri Louise Jazz Orchestra.
Heres a few words about the two bands if you arnt acquainted with them:
Bri Louise blends sultry queerness with smooth love and undeniable groove. Rooted in gospel and neo-soul, their sound expands into a rich fusion of jazz, hip-hop, and R&B. Poetic lyricism is supported by a tight live band that features colourful keys, phatty bass, flashy beats, vibrant guitar, and fruity woodwinds. We will be joined by many guests but our core features Bri Louise (vocals/keys), Molly Wyatt (flute/vocals), Becky Devine (bass), Theo Thompson (guitar), Eloise Edmonds (saxophone), and Jonathan Stolk (drums).
Elly Mae crafts songs that encapsulate the bittersweet ache of growth, the quiet unraveling of time, and the soft glow of nostalgia embedded within. Her music is an amalgamation of folk, dreampop, indie, shoegaze, and anything in between. From lullabies that make you feel weightless to being wrapped in a blanket of sound, Elly Mae’s folk/country melodic guitar style is accompanied by experimental, spatial bass from Arran Cargill-Brown and textured pocket drumming from Sasha Francis-Murray.
Come celebrate this very special night and the release of this cool project with us.
