Nick Herbison is a folk-rock artist from Hawke’s Bay, Aotearoa, whose music reflects his philosophical outlook. With acoustic guitar at the core of his songwriting, Herbison crafts introspective, life-affirming songs that explore courage, self-worth, and the ongoing journey toward inner peace. His style has been largely influenced by folk, blues, rock, roots, and R&B.
Since the release of his first EP in 2019, which was produced by Finn Roberts (Wet Bandits), Nick began to perform largely as a solo artist. With a string of self produced releases from 2020-2021, Herbison eventually worked with Thomas Oliver to produce the EP 'Calling Home' in which his song 'Moment' was critically acclaimed by NZ On Air New Tracks compilation. Throughout 2025 Nick was active with a collaborative single tour alongside Joe Cole, a set playing at the final Spirit Festival in Auckland and a 17 show tour in support of Melbourne based blues troubadour Shaun Kirk. Nick has most recently finished his self-produced album 'Seek and Don't Forget,' which is set to release in April 2026.
Nick will perform as a 5-piece band in which he is supported by alt rock 3-piece Ben Liley. This date will feature a special guest appearance from local singer-songwriter Charlie Nimmo.
