After hitting #1 on the NZ Alt charts, and #1 with both singles on the 95bFM Top 10, Te Whanganui-a-Tara’s crooked-alt-rock Menzies bring their debut album 'Holding My Cold Hand, Even Though Yours Is Warm' to Whanganui.
Joined by the incredible synth-gaze sports dreams, and local legends LIMON - this isn't one to miss.
“Wow, you guys gave me so much energy” – MJ Lenderman on Menzies, at Camp a Low Hum
“There’s no one else like them” – Right Chord Music UK
The record blends twisted guitars, sing-them-later melodies, and deeply Aotearoa storytelling; Suzy Cato, trays of sausage rolls, romantic feelings towards All Blacks. It’s raw, heartfelt, sometimes humorous, and unlike anything else in the country right now.
Live, Menzies are a band you don’t forget. A show you feel as much as hear. A journey.
With praise from MJ Lenderman himself, this is not one to miss.
